A few words about Dr. Hans

Dr. Hans Jacobs is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements and arthroscopic ligament reconstruction surgery.

Dr. Jacobs got his MBChB at the university of Stellenbosch in 2007 and in 2016 he finished his orthopaedic specialist training at the University of Pretoria and College of Medicine of South Africa. In 2017 he then went on to do a fellowship in hip and knee reconstructive surgery in Sydney, Australia. He is currently a senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria and a consultant in Arthroplasty and Sports medicine at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. He also has a private practice at the Life Faerie Glen Spinal and Orthopaedic Hospital.

Dr. Jacobs is doing hip replacements through an anterior minimally invasive approach (AMIS). Knee replacement surgery depends on the disease ranging from unicompartmental knee replacement (half knee replacement) to medial pivot total knee replacements.
